About Gugi Highlands:

Guji Highlands is a 250 hectare, family owned farm established in 2012 by Wodessa Yachisi. It is near the town of Shakisso in the Guji Zone. Guji Highland tops out at 2300m, and is nestled in what can only be described as a natural cloud forest. The farm’s production is 100%
organic. Guji is a recent addition to the range of beautiful coffees being exported from Ethiopia. Historically it has been exported as a Sidamo type, but after many years of lobbying the Ethiopian government introduced Guji as a geographical distinction. While the cup profile might be sometimes quite similar to Sidamo coffees, some people feel that there is a “little something special” in the terroir of Guji.

  1. Nuno (verified owner)

Intensely fruity, with wild berries and citrus aromas. Good body too.

  2. Silviu-Andrei Calin (verified owner)

Always look for a freshly roasted batch of this one. You’ll be surprised with it’s fruity complexity and acidity.
Mixed with a bit of foamed milk makes this one a favorite. Try to take small sips and enjoy the aromas this natural processed can offer.

  3. isakbrix (verified owner)

A little diappointed with this. Expected acidity, brightness and fruity complexity in a light roast. This was not lightly roasted or acidic. Instead a complex, fullbodied profile of characteristic aromas strong to the taste in a medium roast and solid color. Not a bad coffee, but not as fresh, bright and acidic as I would have liked.

  4. Ludek (verified owner)

    Amazing coffee

  5. Marat (verified owner)

Good coffee, matched my expectations. The roast was good, wasn’t burnt. Acidity level and fruity taste was good.
