About Finca Santa Lucia:
Yiver Vargas Perdomo is the owner of St. Lucia Specialty Coffee Farm and the Vice-President of Colombia’s International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA-Colombia). Yiver is a community leader who has committed herself to uplifting her community, and in particular to the fight for gender equality and empowering women in rural communities. Women have always played an important role in coffee growing, and that is the message of the IWCA-Colombia. One way Yiver and IWCA-Colombia spread their message is through their shop in La Plata park, which encourages Colombians to support gender equality, and drink high-quality coffee from the leading production
department. Yiver also tours internationally to speak on issues of female gender in male-controlled business landscapes, and empowers women to find their voices and stake their claims in coffee production.
