Bright and balanced cup with flavors of citrus and plums. Honey-like body and cane sugar sweetness. Light to Medium roast.
We added this beautiful Colombian to our coffee microlots. Colombia Argote comes from the village of Colón Genova in the north of Colombia’s world-famous region. We came in contact with this coffee thanks to our friends from This Side Up who works side-by-side with Juan Pablo Lasso Argote and the other producers in the region to bring their unique coffees to Europe. This year we selected a microlot grown and processed by Efrain Lasso. A unique coffee with astounding complexity, a honey-like sweetness and flavors of citrus and stone fruits.
Efraín Lasso: Head of the Lasso Argote Family, his father Lucho Lasso started the coffee plantation on his 3 hectare farm almost 70 years ago. 10 years ago Efraín took over, and has spread good agricultural practices all over the village. His son, Juan Pablo, is the creator of the Argote Speciality Coffee brand and our main contact.
