Explorations in Roasting

Go behind the scenes with our Roastmaster at our micro-roastery at Reffen-Copenhagen Street food. Participants will learn the basics of the roasting process through a comparative roasting demonstration, examining different profiles of a single coffee to explore the variables that affect flavor. By tasting the coffees side by side, participants get a closer look at how roasting can highlight a coffee’s sweetness and complexity.
The class will include an overview of the cupping process, which is the industry standard method of tasting and evaluating coffee.
Explorations in Roasting is a 2 hour class and and students receive a bag of coffee roasted during the class. No experience necessary.
