Our Specialty Coffees
Coffees, named specialty (there is no label or certification for the specialty coffee) are those showing a superior quality both at the origin (according to the botanical features, farming practices and processing methods) and across further stages of the supply chain (trading, roasting, brewing…). Quality needs to be preserved from crop to cup in order to provide the final consumer with a product which mirrors the commitment of all the actors involved in the chain.
At Nordhavn Coffee Roastery we craft-roast small batches on demand in order to provide our business and private customers with freshly-roasted specialty coffee. We import our beans directly from the origins or through traceable and fair supply chains. Our goal is to showcase the diversity of coffee origins and their flavors and make them appreciated by ordinary coffee consumers.
But when it comes to coffee, we believe quality is not a roaster’s exclusive domain. Indeed, to be enjoyed coffee has to be understood and properly brewed. For this reason, we complement our offer of fine coffee beans with a wide range of brewing equipments, barista tools and training, educational workshops and services.
All in all, quality is the result of the interplay of different people across the coffee supply chain: growers, traders, roasters, baristas and consumers. Our goal as specialty coffee roasters is to bridge the two sides of the chain bringing the coffee experience to a higher level of understanding for both consumers and producers. This effort will contribute to make coffee better, more transparent, fair and sustainable. From bean to cup.
